Qionghai Lake, Xi Chang, China
4 imagesAs the second largest fresh lake in Sichuan province, Qionghai is located in the upper reaches of Jinshanjiang River branch – An’ning River. It is 5 km away from Xichang City south, adjacent to grand Daliangshan Mountain in east. Qionghai Lake is a sink-down lake, and is 1510 meter above sea level. Qionghai looks like a pearl from air. The water of the lake is clear and transparent. Like some other plateau lakes in China, Qionghai Lake is famous for its peaceful and varied scenery in the four seasons. Six hundred years ago, Marco Polo, the famous Italian traveler was greatly impressed by the unique beauty and style in this area. He wrote in Travel Notes of Marco Polo ‘Green lake, flourishing grass, abundant fish and big pearls. The beautiful scenes and mild climate is better than that in Mediterranean sea. It is really the orient pearl.’

Enchanting picture! Would you be operating out of China? Perhaps I might get the chinese flag in my statistics? That would be the very first! (Hard to get! )
Thanks. 🙂 But sorry I’m not in China right now. I may know the reason why it’s hard to get Chinese flag in the stats. My parents, who’re in China right now, can not access this blog. It doesn’t load for ‘some’ reasons. 😉
