Huanglongxi (Chinese: 黄龙溪镇) is a small historic Chinese town located about 50 km from Chengdu in the Sichuan province of southwest China. It is named after the Huanglong River (Yellow Dragon River) which flows through it.
The town is over 1700 years old, and has been restored to retain its rustic charm, with ancient cobbled streets, temples, and wharves and houses along its curving alleys.
The majority of the buildings in Huanglongxi date back to early Qing Dynasty (1644-1912AD).
The town is a popular filming location of exterior scenes for period movies.
